Debacle Fest is an annual experimental music festival presented by Seattle’s Debacle Records. We are a small DIY operation that is currently approaching our ninth year and have features the likes of John Wiese, Nate Young, Pete Swanson, Mammifer, Daniel Menche, Mark McGuire, Raica, and Sarah Davachi just to name a few.
At Debacle, we strive to connect our audience with the acts they venerate and those which challenge the scope of sound. Our intent is to celebrate the music that transcends us, among our closest companions, in a community of art and imagination. Each year, Debacle is host to 25-30 different projects across the spectrum of experimental, ambient, noise and power electronics.
Debacle Fest serves as invaluable exposure for our regionalized artists who make up the majority of our lineup. As inflation increases, it’s getting hard to actualize the event on our limited yearly budget. This year was an exceptional challenge due to the rise of venue costs and putting a strain on our ability to compensate the talented artists who contribute to our fest. Without partnering, our options to continue this beloved event are limited to decreasing the amount of projects showcased and decreasing the event to just one day.
We are currently exploring financial and in-kind sponsorship opportunities with the brands that fit our mission and label. For an overview of the festival, information on our demographics and a 1-minute viewing of our brand, please enjoy the links to your right.
